The Smart Handheld Business Group of Acer Inc, unveiled its latest range of neoTouch and beTouch devices to cater to the demands of increasingly sophisticated handheld users, and to make mobile Internet attractive and accessible to all. Acer’s neoTouch S200 is a powerful touchscreen phone with functions and applications like Mail, Mobile Internet, multimedia and Microsoft Office Mobile.
Briefing reporters, Acer Incorporated Country Head Richard Tan said “The new devices represent a strategic move for Acer towards becoming a leader in the ‘mobility market.’ With neoTouch you always have your office at hand, no matter where you are.” The Windows Mobile 6.5 phone features a wide, high-resolution touch screen measuring 3.8 inches, 3G+ connectivity (HSPA), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The beTouch range is conceived and designed for style-conscious users wanting to experience mobile internet on-the-go (email, instant messaging, social networking, browsing). “The slender design and ample touch screen should delight style-conscious users. It runs on Windows Mobile 6.5 that supports literally hundreds of Windows-certified mobile applications for both work and leisure,” said Tan.

Spice Mobiles has announced the launch of its first flexi dual handset, Spice D-6666. The Spice D-6666 offers the flexibility to choose between GSM+CDMA mode or GSM+GSM mode in a single phone.
Spice D-6666 features a 2.4 inch screen display with 320 X 240 pixels screen resolution, 2 megapixel camera with flash. The Spice D-6666 Dual SIM Mobile Phone is integrated with Bluetooth, GPRS, WAP, and FM radio with recording, MP3 player and 4 GB expandable memory.

LG has launched GW525, GT505 and GM730 handsets that are aimed at the social networking audience in India.
