HTC WildFire Android 2.2 Froyo Update Available Now

HTC has confirmed via Twitter and Facebook that it is rolling out Android 2.2 Froyo for HTC Wildfire handsets across Europe

The new Build number for the update is 2.22.405.1.Make sure you back up your phone before applying the update.

"Android 2.2 (aka Froyo) on Wildfire is scheduled to begin rolling out this week in Europe, reaching all areas of the world by February. Thanks for your patience as these updates roll out; we think you’ll enjoy the final product," HTC said.

This Update is also Available in India, If you are having HTC WildFire, Check your update settings, and download Android 2.2 (Froyo) into HTC WildFire.
The OTA update is about 58 MB in size , so we would advise you to download the update over a WiFi connection. Notable improvements include ability to use your phone as a WiFi Hotspot and ability to install apps to the memory card.

To start the update go to settings->about phone-> system software updates

Make sure you backup your phone before proceeding with the update.

This is a Confirmed News as I'm upgrading HTC WildFire Androia 2.1 to 2.2 here in India.

Flash player and Live wallpapers won’t be available due to hardware restrictions. While the update is currently only available in UK. We are hoping it reaches other markets also soon.
