How to Switch Your Number to a New Mobile Operator a Step by Step Guide

Mobile Number Portability is Here, delay after delay now we can really have the freedom of keeping the same Mobile number irrespective of the Mobile Operator. Below are the Steps to be followed on how to Port your number to new Operator it takes about 7 working days Across india and 7-15 days in J&k, Assam.

Step1: Send an SMS to 1900 in following format: PORT Mobile Number. Ex. PORT 9999999999.

Step2: You will Receive a SMS [SMS: Please Note your UPC code: 43532345 ] with the Code, this code should be used while submitting the form for porting your number with the preferred operator. This code is valid only for a few days, and one must apply again if it expires.

Step3: Your existing operator will check with new operator & if there are no dues and you are not porting under 90 days period then approval will be given for porting.

Step4: A SMS will be sent to you by the New Operator on the time and date when porting will take place. Rules mandate that process be completed within 4 days of applying. ex: We have Verified your application form! Your number will be ported to "------" by a --/--/--

Step5: Insert the SIM on the mentioned day, intimated via SMS and Get Started with the New Operator.
