Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" ROM for HTC Desire HD

The Android 2.3 platform introduces many new and exciting features for users and developers. It increases the stability of the phone drastically, improves battery life, lot of visual changes were added to Android 2.3, the changes are many to mention, users of HTC Desire, and Desire HD are awaiting for an updated version of Android from HTC since the release of Android 2.3 "Gingerbread", htc has already announced its plan of releasing the update very soon.

How ever the developers at the XDA-forum have already released an Leaked Android 2.3 ROM for HTC Desire HD and Desire Series phones.

The ROM, which comes from Team Revolution, is said to be working pretty well, with a series of improvements brought to the stock ROM added into the mix, but without visual changes applied.

What should be noted here is that the ROM can be installed only on rooted devices, which means that those who would like to give it a try would void the warranty of their HTC Desire HD smartphones.

Considering the fact that HTC already promised the release of an update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread for all of its Desire devices, users might want to wait for the official ROM released which is delivered Over the Air(OTA) update, and easy to update for all users.
